'Tis the season for New Year's Resolutions. The "new year, new me" posts have been well underway and most people are at least thinking about how they are going to change their lives for the better in 2020. Understand, there is nothing wrong with New Year's Resolutions and it's always a great thing to be motivated and thinking about bettering yourself and your circumstances but why not start where you are? You don't have to wait until January 1st to want/do better in life. Start from the moment you realize the change needs to be made. For example, if you want to lose weight or be healthier, then become more physically active and make diet and lifestyle changes that align with your goals today, not next year. And yes, baby steps count...focus your intent on what you wish to accomplish and get moving! Something as simple as taking the stairs instead of riding the elevator or having fruit instead of candy for a sweet snack are steps in the right direction. With each small step, you create momentum that will continue to push you forward toward your goals. These steps also create the positive and healthy habits you need to build in order to be consistent and and achieve long-term success. So let's make a resolution to evolve daily not annually. Life is about growth, don't put off until to tomorrow what you can achieve today! Start where you are!
